Wake Forest won the last time they faced Knightdale and things went their way on Monday too. The Cougars put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 9-1 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Wake Forest's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Knightdale are ranked 430th).

Wake Forest's offense was hitting Knightdale from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. H. Soden led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Wake Forest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those seven contests. As for Knightdale, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
