Baseball Recap: Templeton Comes Up Short

Templeton came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Nipomo Titans, falling 8-2. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Templeton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leo Rivera, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Templeton's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Nipomo, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Templeton will take on Ridgeview at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolf Pack's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Nipomo, they will square off against Chowchilla at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tribe have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
