Baseball Game Preview: Citronelle Wildcats vs. Greenville Tigers

The Citronelle Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Greenville Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Citronelle and 16 for Greenville dating back to last season.

Citronelle came up short against Mobile Christian on Friday, falling 13-2.

Citronelle saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Curvin Noyd, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Greenville's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-0 to Charles Henderson, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Citronelle's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Greenville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.

Everything went Citronelle's way against Greenville in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, as Citronelle made off with an 11-1 victory. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
