Schurr took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Alhambra.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Bell Gardens entered their contest against San Gabriel on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lancers fell 3-1 to the Matadors.

Bell Gardens started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 29-27, 27-25, 25-11.

Schurr pushed their record up to 10-18 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Bell Gardens, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-9.
