Basketball Recap: Largo Skates Past Fairmont Heights with Ease

Largo won the last time they faced Fairmont Heights and things went their way on Thursday too. The Largo Lions blew past the Fairmont Heights Hornets, posting a 62-15 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 37 points or more this season.

Largo found their leader in sophomore Aysiah Harris, who went 10 for 16 en route to 30 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. Aleah Rodriguez was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Largo pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.5 points per game. As for Fairmont Heights, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Largo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-12 victory against Bladensburg on the 24th. Fairmont Heights has also already played their next game, a 45-24 win against Central on the 27th.
