Volleyball Recap: Manchester Flying Dutchmen vs. Grass Lake Warriors
Manchester extended their postseason success on Friday against Grass Lake. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Grass Lake Warriors. The Flying Dutchmen have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.
If you add up the scores from across all five sets (106-103) Manchester actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-23, 16-25, 22-25, 25-20, 15-13.
Savanah Flint paced Manchester's offense, picking up 24 kills. Flint got some help from
Olivia Woods and her 37 assists.
Avary Durussel controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Manchester has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 31-20-1 record this season. As for Grass Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 25-13-3.
