Volleyball Game Preview: Williamsburg Blue Pirates vs. Mount Union Trojans

Williamsburg is 2-8 against Mount Union since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Blue Pirates will welcome the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Williamsburg came up short against Claysburg-Kimmel on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Mount Union came up short against Southern Huntingdon County on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 16-25, 25-14, 25-16.

Williamsburg will need to focus on slowing down Tenly Huffnagle, one of several Mount Union players who made an impact when they last played. She had nine kills, eight digs, and three aces. Lily Hicks was another key player, getting five digs and two aces.

Mount Union's loss dropped their record down to 7-10-1. As for Williamsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
