Basketball Game Preview: Cameron Comets vs. Hayward Hurricanes

Cameron and Hayward are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Cameron Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hayward Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hayward took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Cameron, who comes in off a win.

Cameron will head into Tuesday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Barron on Tuesday. Cameron blew past Barron 67-30. The Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Hayward ended up a good deal behind Ladysmith on Monday and lost 48-33. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cameron's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Hayward, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Cameron didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Hayward when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 47-42 win. Does Cameron have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hayward turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
