Baseball Game Preview: West Marshall Trojans vs. Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs

West Marshall is a perfect 5-0 against Prairie City-Monroe since June of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Trojans will challenge the Mustangs at 5:15 p.m. West Marshall will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Monday, it was close, but West Marshall sidestepped Nevada for a 10-9 win.

Prairie City-Monroe never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Perry on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Bluejays. The matchup marked the Mustangs' most dominant victory of the season so far.

West Marshall pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Prairie City-Monroe, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Everything went West Marshall's way against Prairie City-Monroe in their previous matchup back in June of 2024, as West Marshall made off with a 14-3 victory. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
