After having lost a blowout in their previous game against IMG Academy, Doral Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Downtown Doral Dolphins get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. The Firebirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.
Santiago Ortiz looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Doral Academy got a massive performance out of Leandro Hernandez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
