Recap: Living Water Homeschool Marlins vs. Wabash Valley HomeSchool Warriors
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Living Water Homeschool Marlins ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-59 win over Wabash Valley HomeSchool. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Wabash Valley HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Gavin Sutton , who scored 24 points along with 7 rebounds. Sutton scored a full 40.7% of Wabash Valley HomeSchool's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Wallace, who scored 6 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Living Water Homeschool and bumps their season record up to 2-3. As for Wabash Valley HomeSchool, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Living Water Homeschool will take on Columbus HomeSchool at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Columbus HomeSchool will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Wabash Valley HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on First Baptist Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 30, 2024.
