Volleyball Game Preview: Fayetteville Academy Eagles vs. Hoke County Bucks

After both having extra time off, the Fayetteville Academy Eagles and the Hoke County Bucks will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Fayetteville Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Hoke County will be coming in after a loss.

On Wednesday, Fayetteville Academy got the win against Alpha Academy by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

While Fayetteville Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Hoke County came up short against Freedom Christian Academy last Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Hoke County was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Freedom Christian Academy's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-19.

Fayetteville Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Hoke County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.

Fayetteville Academy beat Hoke County 3-1 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
