Volleyball Recap: Willmar Takes a Loss

Willmar was the 2-1 winner over North Branch when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Willmar saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jordan Blahosky had 17 digs and two aces.

Willmar's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for North Branch, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Willmar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Rocori on the 11th. As for North Branch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Providence Academy on the 11th.
