Basketball Game Preview: Spaulding Crimson Tide vs. Thetford Academy Panthers

The Spaulding Crimson Tide will venture away from home to challenge the Thetford Academy Panthers at 2:03 p.m. on Friday. Spaulding is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Spaulding is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Harwood, who was ranked 13th at the time (Spaulding was ranked 25th). Spaulding was beaten by Harwood 76-47 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Thetford Academy beat Lake Region 52-42 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Spaulding's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Thetford Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Spaulding came up short against Thetford Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 61-55. Can Spaulding avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
