Recap: Bloomingdale Bulls vs. Wharton Wildcats

The Bloomingdale Bulls fell victim to the Wharton Wildcats''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 55-0 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, Bloomingdale couldn't push the score so high this time.

Wharton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Terek Mccant, who rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Malaqhi Jones was another key contributor, picking up 104 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Wharton's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Booker Pickett jr and his two sacks.

Bloomingdale's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Wharton, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.

Bloomingdale will take on East Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wharton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Freedom at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Freedom comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
