Baseball Game Preview: Goochland Bulldogs vs. Monticello Mustangs

The Goochland Bulldogs will challenge the Monticello Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Goochland is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Goochland's offense. They lost 10-0 to Louisa County on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Monticello came up short against Fluvanna County on Tuesday, falling 10-2. The Mustangs have struggled against the Flying Flucos recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Landon Hamm-Shiflett made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. Blake Barnes also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Goochland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Monticello, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
