Baseball Recap: Mary G. Montgomery Comes Up Short

If Mary G. Montgomery was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of UMS-Wright Prep on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Mary G. Montgomery fell just short of the Enterprise Wildcats by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Mary G. Montgomery saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fuller Musgrove, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Mary G. Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Enterprise, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-1.

Coming up, Mary G. Montgomery will take on Demopolis at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Demopolis' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Mary G. Montgomery's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Enterprise, they will challenge Fairhope at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fairhope will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Enterprise surely won't give up without a fight.
