Basketball Recap: Parker Distleberg's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Arrowhead Christian over Ontario Christian

Arrowhead Christian was the 70-60 winner over Ontario Christian when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Arrowhead Christian Eagles took a 76-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ontario Christian Knights on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 13 points.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Parker Distleberg, who went 9 for 20 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. Tyler Young was another key player, going 8 of 15 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds.

Ontario Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mason Salazar, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 assists. What's more, Salazar also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Caleb Jace-Lejay, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points and seven boards.

Arrowhead Christian is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8. As for Ontario Christian, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-9.

Arrowhead Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-50 win against Linfield Christian on the 10th. As for Ontario Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 75-52 victory against Woodcrest Christian on the 10th.
