Monroe Central's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They breezed past the Union City Indians to the tune of 46-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Bears also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Monroe Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Hunt, who rushed for 103 yards and two TDs. Those 103 rushing yards gave Hunt a new career-high. Caleb Luedike also helped with three scores in total.

Monroe Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Caden Dance led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.

The victory got Monroe Central back to even at 1-1. As for Union City, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Monroe Central will head out on the road to challenge Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Union City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hagerstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
