Softball Recap: Pojoaque Valley Takes a Loss

Pojoaque Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the St. Michael's Horsemen, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Horsemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 on Thursday.

Pojoaque Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izabella Lujan, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Pojoaque Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for St. Michael's, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pojoaque Valley will square off against Moriarty at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Michael's, they will face off against Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Valley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.77 runs per game on average), something St. Michael's will no doubt try to take advantage of.
