Recap: Mohave Thunderbirds vs. Yuma Criminals
The Mohave Thunderbirds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Yuma at home and fell 55-27. Mohave has struggled against Yuma recently, as their contest on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Belinda Gradias was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Heavin Hawkins, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
Mohave's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Yuma, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mohave will square off against Lake Havasu at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Havasu is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Yuma, they will head out on the road to face off against San Luis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. San Luis and Yuma are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
