Football Recap: Burlington-Edison Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Burlington-Edison came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the Sehome Mariners, falling 42-7. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Mariners recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Nolan Wright was a one-man wrecking crew For Sehome. as he threw for 270 yards and four touchdowns. Wright is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Alex Miller, who picked up 96 receiving yards and one score.

Burlington-Edison's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Sehome, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burlington-Edison will host Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Sehome, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lynden at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' defense has only allowed 13.5 points per game this season, so the Mariners' offense will have their work cut out for them.
