Preview: Hanna Dragons vs. Midway Chargers
Hanna is 2-8 against Midway since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hanna Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Midway Chargers at 8:00 p.m. Hanna is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Hanna suffered their closest defeat yet this season last Thursday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-0 to Weleetka, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Hanna has not had much luck with Weleetka recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, Midway had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Graham/Dustin by a score of 39-32 on Saturday. The win was just what Midway needed coming off of a 69-45 loss in their prior matchup.
Midway found their leader in underclassman Gavin Durrett, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Durrett continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Tristen Wolfe was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Hanna bumped their record down to 0-15 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Midway, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
Hanna suffered a grim 56-35 defeat to Midway in their previous meeting on January 5th. Can Hanna avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
