Soccer Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lakeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mid Valley Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Mid Valley this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Mid Valley, they moved to 7-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

Coming up, Lakeland will head out to face off against Mountain View at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mid Valley, they will welcome Forest City at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mid Valley will be up against Forest City's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.9 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
