Soccer Game Preview: Van Buren vs. Wisdom

Van Buren is 2-8 against Wisdom since August of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Crusaders will host the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Van Buren's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over East Grand.

Meanwhile, Wisdom had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 3-1.

The victory got Van Buren back to even at 3-3. As for Wisdom, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Van Buren suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Wisdom when the teams last played back in October of 2023. Can the Crusaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
