Basketball Recap: Lytle Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Lytle had won eight straight home games and Zacharee Perez did his part to make it nine on Monday. The Lytle Pirates strolled past the Poteet Aggies with points to spare, taking the game 80-66 thanks in part to Perez, who went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Lytle is 14-1 when Perez posts 20 or more points, but 6-8 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Guevara, who posted 19 points in addition to five assists and three steals. The match was his sixth in a row with at least 15 points.

Lytle is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a massive bump to their 20-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.2 points over those games. As for Poteet, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-19.
