Soccer Recap: Boulder Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Boulder and Riverdale Ridge pushed the score to 9-0 the last time they played Riverdale Ridge, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Panthers' defense stepped up to hand the Ravens a 2-0 shutout. Given Boulder's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Riverdale Ridge are ranked 68th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the fifth in a row for Boulder, bringing their record up to 9-4. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five matchups. As for Riverdale Ridge, their loss ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.
