Softball Recap: Vallivue Takes a Loss

Vallivue managed to slip by Nampa the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Falcons lost 16-6 to the Bulldogs on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered since April 22, 2025.

Abbie Egglston was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Kassotis, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Vallivue moved to 14-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Nampa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vallivue will host Columbia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.53 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Nampa, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Middleton at 5:00 p.m.
