Ventura lost to Valencia back in September of 2019, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Cougars came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Ventura was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 22-25, 25-16, 29-27.

Ventura's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Valencia, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Ventura and Valencia will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cougars will face off against rival Pacifica at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Valencia is set to take on their familiar foe Hart at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
