Baseball Recap: Gulf Coast H Comes Up Short

Gulf Coast H fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Booker on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tornadoes by a score of 14-13. The HEAT just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Gabe Wragg and Oliver Ekstrom stepped up to the plate in a big way. Wragg went 1-for-4 with four RBI, while Ekstrom scored a run while going 1-for-4. Holden Ekstrom also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Gulf Coast H's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Booker, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-8.

Coming up, Gulf Coast H will face off against The Classical Academy of Sarasota at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Booker, they will take on Lemon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
