Baseball Recap: Davis Comes Up Short

Davis was the 5-4 winner over Sunnyside when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grizzlies on Friday.

Davis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Sunnyside, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11.

Looking ahead, Davis will be playing at home against Eisenhower at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Cadets at the right time seeing as the Cadets are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Sunnyside, they will square off against West Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Grizzlies surely won't give up without a fight.
