Basketball Game Preview: Ramona Bulldogs vs. Rancho Bernardo Broncos

The Ramona Bulldogs will square off against the Rancho Bernardo Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Ramona is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 70-49 to University City. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 772nd, while the Centurions are ranked 275th).

Meanwhile, Rancho Bernardo didn't have too much trouble with Escondido on Friday as they won 62-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Broncos.

Ramona better keep an eye on Lucas Winkler. He was instrumental in Rancho Bernardo's win, putting up 17 points. Evan Woodland was another key player, posting ten points.

Ramona's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Rancho Bernardo, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Ramona didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Rancho Bernardo in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 62-56 win. Will Ramona repeat their success, or does Rancho Bernardo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
