Basketball Game Preview: Orono Riots vs. Dexter Tigers

Orono is 1-7 against Dexter since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Orono Riots will face off against the Dexter Tigers at 6:30 p.m.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-42, which was the final score in Orono's tilt against Central on Thursday. The Riots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Dexter was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Bucksport 53-21. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 22 points or more this season.

Dexter has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Orono, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Orono took a serious blow against Dexter in their previous meeting back in January, falling 42-12. Can Orono avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
