Baseball Recap: Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers vs. Albany Hornets
Woodlawn-B.R. was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-4 to the Albany Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 last Thursday.
Kaleb Byrd made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Nathan James also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.
Woodlawn-B.R.'s defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Albany, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.
Coming up, Woodlawn-B.R. will be playing in front of their home fans against Lutcher at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Albany, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hammond at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
