Baseball Recap: Framingham Flyers vs. Weymouth Wildcats

Framingham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 6-2 to the Weymouth Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Framingham of the 6-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

For Weymouth's part, Jack Reyes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. Reyes has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Gil Dolan was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Daley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Framingham will stay at home for another game and welcome Newton North at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Weymouth, they will head out on the road to face off against Walpole at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
