Baseball Recap: Mcallen Memorial Drops Highest Score of Season Against Goliad

McAllen Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 10-7 to the Goliad Tigers. One positive for the Mustangs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Eloy Lozano made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of JD Garza, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

McAllen Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Goliad, they moved to 4-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

McAllen Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-8 win against Alice on the 27th. As for Goliad, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Orange Grove on the 28th.
