Preview: Hunterdon Central Red Devils vs. Immaculata Spartans
The Hunterdon Central Red Devils will head out on the road to take on the Immaculata Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Immaculata took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Hunterdon Central, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Hunterdon Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-45 victory over Watchung Hills Regional.
Meanwhile, Immaculata's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Hillsborough 64-60. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Immaculata in their matchups with Hillsborough: they've now lost six in a row.
Hunterdon Central has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Immaculata, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-11.
Hunterdon Central lost to Immaculata on the road by a decisive 69-53 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Hunterdon Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
