Basketball Game Preview: Ridgeview Wolf Pack vs. Bakersfield Christian Eagles

Ridgeview is 0-10 against Bakersfield Christian since January of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Ridgeview Wolf Pack will venture away from home to challenge the Bakersfield Christian Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ridgeview took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They snuck past Highland with a 52-47 win.

Meanwhile, Bakersfield Christian waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Golden Hawks as they made off with an 81-56 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Golden Hawks are ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bakersfield Christian's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.6 points per game. As for Ridgeview, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-11.

Ridgeview came up short against Bakersfield Christian in their previous meeting on January 9th, falling 59-49. Can Ridgeview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
