After a string of ten wins, Salisbury's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Westran Hornets by a score of 5-4. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 8-1.

Salisbury's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 20-5. As for Westran, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Salisbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westran, they will face off against Eugene at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
