Hayden came tearing into Thursday's match with six straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Piper Pirates by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hayden took both sets by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13.

Among those leading the charge was Ella Foster, who had eight digs and three assists.

Hayden's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Piper, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Hayden has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Blue Valley on the 11th. As for Piper, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against De Soto on the 16th.
