Volleyball Recap: South Bend Riley Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

South Bend Riley can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Elkhart Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in April.

South Bend Riley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-23.

South Bend Riley can attribute much of their success to Oscar Coronado, who had 21 digs. Those 21 digs gave Coronado a new career-high.

South Bend Riley's win bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Elkhart, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Coming up, South Bend Riley will venture away from home to square off against Penn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elkhart, they will host Mishawaka Marian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
