Soccer Game Preview: Munster vs. Mishawaka Marian

The Munster Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Mishawaka Marian Knights at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Munster will be strutting in after a win while Mishawaka Marian will be coming in after a defeat.

Munster barely beat Highland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs never let the Trojans get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Tuesday. It was an even better day for Maya Maldonado as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Mishawaka Marian faced Chesterton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Knights fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 1-0. Mishawaka Marian just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Mishawaka Marian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4-2. As for Munster, their win bumped their record up to 7-4-3.

Munster might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Mishawaka Marian in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
