Preview: Banning Pilots vs. Dymally Challengers
The Banning Pilots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dymally Challengers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Banning had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They took down Cleveland 28-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Banning.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Banning to victory, but perhaps none more so than Manny Sisneros, who rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Villanueva, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Dymally waltzed into Thursday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They slipped by Dorsey 29-28. The score was all tied up 8-8 at the break, but Dymally was the better team in the second half.
Banning has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 6-6 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.7 points per game. As for Dymally, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
