Baseball Recap: Marshfield Takes a Loss

Marshfield suffered their biggest loss since May 23, 2025 on Tuesday. They lost 9-2 to the North Bend Bulldogs. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Brandon Wendelin made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Marshfield has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for North Bend, they pushed their record up to 6-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

While Marshfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
