Softball Recap: Kiski Area Comes Up Short

Kiski Area lost against Butler back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cavaliers fell 9-5 to the Golden Tornado. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alyssa Perona was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Dakota Rainey was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Kiski Area's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Butler, they moved to 3-18 with that win, which also ended their nine-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Kiski Area will be playing at home against Greater Latrobe at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Butler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
