The Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors will face off against the Christ the King Cathedral Golden Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Annapolis Christian Academy comes in on eight and Christ the King Cathedral on nine.
Annapolis Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game last Saturday with ease, bagging a 71-30 win over Valor South Austin. The Warriors pushed the score to 52-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons had little chance of recovering from.

Xavier Lockyer had an outrageously good game as he picked up 80 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Those 80 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.
Annapolis Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 236 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.
Another reason for the win was Annapolis Christian Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Valor South Austin's QB won't forget Lockyer anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Another thorn in the Falcons' side was Jack Martinez, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 12 total tackles.
Meanwhile, while Christ the King Cathedral put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Holy Cross Catholic Academy. The Golden Lions simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mustangs 60-0. That 60 point margin sets a new team best for the Golden Lions this season.
Christ the King Cathedral's win came from a few key players Annapolis Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was John Sisneros, who picked up 50 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble, made 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defended one pass. Matthew Sisneros made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Christ the King Cathedral didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Dalton Drake, Ethan Blazek, and Sisneros picked up one apiece. Drake got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Annapolis Christian Academy's record is now 8-1. As for Christ the King Cathedral, their record now sits at 9-0.
