Football Game Preview: Royse City Bulldogs vs. Forney Jackrabbits

The Royse City Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Forney Jackrabbits at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Royse City's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

On Friday, Royse City lost to Rockwall at home by a 48-31 margin. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost four in a row.

Royse City's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jamion Richardson, who threw for 165 yards and a pair of TDs, and Bryson Arney, who gained 156 total yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Forney ended up a good deal behind North Forney on Friday and lost 35-16.

Loss or not, Forney got some senior leadership from Javian Osborne and Nelson Peterson Jr.. Osborne gained 160 total yards and a touchdown, while Peterson Jr. rushed for 90 yards on only 12 carries.

Having lost for the first time this season, Royse City fell to 4-1. As for Forney, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Royse City was taken down by Forney 59-27 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
