It was a good run, but Old Lyme unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Monday. They fell to the Portland Highlanders 65-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (59), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Old Lyme's loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3. As for Portland, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

Old Lyme will face off against Westbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Portland, they will challenge Amistad at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Amistad knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Portland likes a good challenge.
