Football Recap: Nativity BVM Falls Short of Lackawanna Trail in the Playoffs

Nativity BVM and Lackawanna Trail squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Nativity BVM had to settle for second. They were dealt a 50-6 loss at the hands of the Lions. If the Green Wave were looking for revenge after losing 47-20 to the Lions when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Isaac Ryon was his usual excellent self, rushing for 212 yards and six touchdowns on only ten carries for Lackawanna Trail. Ryon has been hot, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last eight times he's played.

Nativity BVM is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7. As for Lackawanna Trail, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Nativity BVM does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lackawanna Trail, they will welcome Tri-Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 14.7 points per game this season, so the Lions' offense will have their work cut out for them.
