Soccer Game Preview: Jesuit vs. Del Oro

The Jesuit Marauders will head out on the road to face off against the Del Oro Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jesuit's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Del Oro will have to contend with a Jesuit squad hungry for a victory, something the team hasn't seen since January 14. Jesuit and Whitney finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Del Oro also has not seen a win for a while (their last was back in January), and their contest on Thursday was sadly no different. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Davis Sr. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 55th).

Del Oro's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-4. Jesuit's draw makes their record 3-5-7 this season.

Jesuit beat Del Oro 4-2 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jesuit since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
